The Detailed Plans reinforced
the assumptions of the urban design of the Urbanisation Plan and brought them together in
the following concepts, which they develop and enhance.

DP1
- Part of the "history and context",
develops the morphology of the pre-existing environment of Lisbon and explores new forms
connected with southern anthropological culture.
- Surpasses the trends of modern/rationalist
urbanism and revivalist urbanism and explores new architectures.

- Creates the unity of the city block as a
terraced public square and encourages the community condominium.

DP2
- articulates, according to the modular urban
scheme of the city, the ephemeral with the definitive of the World Exposition, in such a
way as to ensure its visual identity and constitute its urban memory.

DP3
- re-evaluates the place and its local
morphological peculiarities.
- Affirms the Riverside Walkway, the Central
and Diagonal Boulevards, the Ponte Cais Walkway and Cabeço das Rolas as structural
elements of the public space.

- Affirms the referential urban models already
rooted in contemporary urbanistic culture:

Downtown area Mediterranean roots;
Transition Zone Futuristic and modernist roots;
High Zone - CIAM and high tech roots.

DP4
- Introduces alternative models in a
homogenous urban pattern.
- Re-evaluates public space and makes it
diverse and informal, although without destroying its overall discipline.

- It progressively fragments the urban fabric
in its approximation to the river and the urban park and makes the transition between
morphology and typology.

DP5
- Enhances the singularity of its location and
integration.

DP6
- Aesthetically marks the landscape and
constructs a referential urban image in front of the River Tagus.
- Reintegrates and brings the former
insalubrious area into the structure of the urban park in a pedagogical manner.
